Two Types Of Youths

Today we have two types of youths.

Type one-
• They are not afraid to stand up for what they believe in, and better yet that practise what they preach.
• They prefer to stand on their own than to stand with a crowd of fake people.
• They don’t need 100 friends to be happy.
• They want to make a difference; they don’t want to blend in.
• They stand by their faith no matter what.

Type two-
• They try to cover up the fact that they believe in God.
• They know when they are doing wrong, but sill goes along with it because they don’t want to lose friends.
• They rely on their friends to be happy.
• They are too afraid to stand out from the crowd.
• When something hard comes their way, their faith shakes.

Sadly, both types of youths are among the youths inside the church, so think about this, just because someone comes to church, it don’t make them of God. So think, what type of youth are you?

Do I Have Faith?

Faith is like car keys, you can have the best car in the world, but if you don’t have the keys it’s useless. When you think about it, it is the same as us, humans. You can be the best looking person, you can have all the money, fame and power but if you don’t have faith you’re simply useless. Some people say it’s so hard to have faith in God, but yet they have faith in everything else, e.g. when you got on the bus today, you had faith that the bus driver was not going to crash, or when you went to sleep last night you had faith that you was going to wake up the next morning. So now all you need to do is to put faith into the fact that God is God.

“Faith is the confident belief or trust in the truth or trustworthiness of a person” –Wikipedia

Faith has the power to change your life, so stop wasting your time doubting and use your faith more and you will see great things happen. Just remember this; faith is the belief in something you can’t see just yet, so live by faith.

“The just shall live by faith” ROMANS 1:17

YOU GOT TALENT

When I talk about Talent, PLEASE don’t think singing or dancing, think of the thing that makes you, you. God gave us different talents, some that is simpler then others, but there is one thing I’m sure of, we all have one. When I speak to some youths and I ask them what their talent it, some laugh and say “I don’t have any”, this makes me upset because if a person does not know what their talent it, then they don’t know who they are, because our talents it’s what makes us to be different. It’s a real shame to think some want to keep back their talents, that God himself gave to them. This is a very foolish decision to make because God gave each one of us a talent according to our own ability and yet we waste time looking and even envying others for the talents that THEY have and we despise the one that we have inside of us already! But look at what God says about the one that hides their talent.

“Then he who had received the one talent came and sad, ‘lord, I know you to be a hard man, reaping where you have not sown, and gathering where you have not scattered seed. And I was afraid, and went and hid your talent in the ground. Look, there you have what is yours; but the lord answered and sad to him, ‘you wicked and lazy servant,” MATTHEW 25:24

So stop complaining about what you can’t do and start thinking and using what you can do for the glory of God!

What Do I Want?

When I first came to the UCKG things was very different from now, all because I didn’t know what I wanted! At first I wanted to have fun and be like others, but then I wanted to be a “Christian” it’s like I was wearing a musk t every time I came to the church. That’s why it took me some months to decide what it was that I wanted. Put it this way, on one hand I wanted to hang out with guys and do things that other girls did, and on the other I wanted to get to know this God that every was talking about. And that’s just it; I didn’t really want to know God, because if I really wanted to know God I would have done it! We have to understand that when we really want something we don’t care about the things around us, we go and get it! Because to be undecided is like someone that is not sure of getting married, in the middle of their vows, it just doesn’t make sense! So before you get yourself into a lot of problems think, do I really want to know God, or do I just want to lean on the title of a Christian?
